Standard Cancellation and Refund Schedule

More than 72 Hours Before Charter

100% Refund

Eligible for: Complete refund excluding processing costs

Processing Time: 5-7 business days

Processing Fee: €50 for credit card operations

Conditions: Must be formally requested by email or phone communication

24-72 Hours Before Charter

50% Refund

Eligible for: Half of the total yacht rental cost

Processing Time: 7-10 business days

Processing Fee: €25 subtracted from the refund amount

Conditions: A valid reason is required; administrative costs are applicable

Less than 24 Hours Before Charter

No Refund

Eligible for: Refunds are not available

Exception: Situations of urgency may be taken into account

Alternative: Credit for future yacht booking could be granted at the discretion of the management

Conditions: Proof is necessary for claims related to emergencies

Weather-Related Cancellations

Our Weather Guarantee

Your safety is our greatest concern. If our certified captain deems the weather conditions unsafe for sailing, we offer adaptable options:

  • Full Refund: Issued if rescheduling is not an option
  • Reschedule: You may change your booking to a future available slot without extra charges
  • Charter Credit: We offer a credit that is valid for one year from the original rental date

Weather Assessment Process

The elements of our weather evaluation include:

  • Evaluating wind speed and direction
  • Checking wave heights and sea level conditions
  • Forecasting visibility and rainfall
  • Heeding Coast Guard advisories and warnings
  • Conducting a professional safety review by the captain

Decision Timeline: Decisions regarding weather cancellations are finalized not later than 4 hours ahead of the set sail time.

Medical Emergency Refunds

Emergency Circumstances

We are aware that medical crises can happen. The situations below may be eligible for special refund consideration:

  • Sudden medical conditions or accidents requiring hospital care
  • Loss within the immediate family
  • Obligatory military assignment or urgent recall
  • Summoned jury duty or legal subpoenas
  • Disasters impacting travel plans

Documentation Requirements

To request a refund under emergency conditions please provide:

  • Proof of hospitalization or a medical note
  • Death certification when applicable
  • Formal military deployment papers
  • Legal summons documentation
  • Official travel warnings or emergency statements

Processing: We will process refunds due to emergencies within 3-5 business days after receiving the necessary proof.

Operational Cancellations

Mechanical Issues

Should the yacht you've been allocated encounter mechanical issues and they are not quickly remediable:

  • Alternative Vessel: Efforts will be made to offer a similar substitute
  • Full Refund: If a suitable replacement isn't available
  • Partial Refund: If the substitute vessel has a different pricing structure
  • Compensation: We may propose further reparation for the inconvenience caused

Crew Unavailability

In the uncommon event of an unavailable certified crew:

  • Replacement crew will be arranged if possible.
  • A full refund will be offered if we cannot proceed with your charter.
  • Option to reschedule at no extra charge

Refund Processing

Payment Method

The return of funds will be directed to the original payment method used at the time of booking:

  • Credit Cards: Reflecting within 5-7 business days
  • Bank Transfers: Transaction completion in 7-10 business days
  • Cash/Cheque: 3-5 business days to process

€50 charge for cancellations that occur more than 72 hours beforehand

Bank Transfer Processing

€25 charged for all refunds via bank transfer

International Processing

Extra fees could be incurred for transactions overseas

Charter Credits

When Credits Are Offered

In certain scenarios, charter credits might be proposed as an alternative to refunds:

  • Late cancellation requests (within 24 hours)
  • Cancellations due to adverse weather
  • Requests for rescheduling by choice
  • Disturbances related to the yacht's operations

Credit Terms

  • Validity: Credits remain valid for 12 months post-issue
  • Transferability: Credits are non-transferable
  • Value: Amounting to the original value of the charter without deductions
  • Usage: Redeemable against any available rental
  • Expiration: Non-extendable after a year

Partial Service Refunds

Service Interruptions

In the event your yacht experience is halted or shortened due to factors we control:

  • Pro-rata refund for the duration not utilized
  • Credit towards a subsequent charter of the same value
  • Free services or upgrades potentially provided

Guest-Related Interruptions

If a yacht trip is prematurely ended due to guest behavior or safety violations:

  • No reimbursements for time not used
  • Full payment will be charged
  • Extra costs may be accrued

Dispute Resolution

If there are disagreements regarding a refund ruling, you can:

  • Submit a request for assessment to our managing staff
  • Offer additional evidence or testimonials
  • Contact consumer protection authorities for mediation
  • Pursue legal action in accordance with the law

Our team will verify your request within one day, review it according to our policy, decide within two days, and then fulfill accepted refunds according to the timelines mentioned above.

Important Notes

  • All requests for refunds must be made in a written format
  • Refunds are released in € regardless of the currency used originally for the payment
  • We highly advise purchasing insurance for travel
  • This document may be modified given a notice of 30 days
  • Refunds adhere to applicable law and fiscal regulations
